Dr. Asirwa's research interests include:
IIT for multiple myeloma treatment in a sub-Saharan African population. Trials in HIV-related malignancies-Kaposi Sarcomas, NHL, cervical cancer. Trials in breast cancer in African women. Breast Cancer Awareness Module (B-CAM) study amongst men and women in Western Kenya. Hemophilia studies especially therapeutic interventions feasibility and effect of hydroxyurea in a sub-Saharan population with sickle cell disease. A pilot program on neonatal screening for SCS at a large referral center in Western Kenya.
