My research focuses on two primary areas. First, I use large datasets to understand surgical cancer care patterns and outcomes and evaluate hospital performance. Second, I am interested in improving the perioperative care of older adults. This encompasses understanding and improving preoperative risk stratification, decision making, and their perioperative brain health, especially prevention and early recognition of adverse outcomes such as delirium.
