The research of my laboratory focuses on studying the regulatory interactions of immune cells with myogenic and non-myogenic muscle cells and how they affect muscle regeneration and pathological remodeling. We are most interested in how modifications to the inflammatory response with disease dysregulate reparative processes to determine muscle pathophysiology and function. We aim to leverage our understanding of complex immune and muscle cell interactions to develop novel therapeutics to improve muscle health.
