Conduct cancer research in Indianapolis as part of the JSU Program

The IU Simon Comprehensive Cancer Center has created a summer research program just for Jackson State University (JSU) students. JSU Program participants undertake this unique summer experience with other students from the cancer center’s summer research programs and other programs affiliated with IU School of Medicine.

This program provides mentored, high-quality, cancer-focused research experiences along with professional development workshops to prepare for careers in science, medicine, and other cancer related fields.

  • Interact with one of the cancer center research programsshared facilities, and more than 100 world-renowned investigators
  • Gain exposure to a wide range of basic science, translational, and clinical research activities
  • Continually interact with and learn from other students, clinical and post-doctoral fellows, and faculty
  • Networking events
  • Receive a stipend (payment)
