Telehealth & Memory Study

Seeking breast cancer survivors with cognitive symptoms after chemotherapy

Volunteers are needed for a research study of a telehealth-delivered therapy to treat memory and concentration problems after breast cancer chemotherapy.

The study is being conducted by researchers at the University of Pittsburgh and Indiana University School of Medicine and is funded by the National Institutes of Health.

Participants will be randomly assigned to either:

1. A brief cognitive-behavioral skills program; or
2. A supportive therapy approach.

We want to learn if either treatment is better for improving memory and attention problems.

• Both programs will use secure telehealth technology (you can participate from your home).
• Participation requires brief screening, baseline, and post-treatment assessments, done by phone and over the internet.
• Therapy consists of eight visits, 45 minutes once per week. We will also contact you six months after completing therapy for a follow-up assessment.

Interested and eligible individuals are also invited to participate in two MRI scans during the study to learn more about how the treatments change brain functioning. You will receive $50 for each scan completed.
