My career goal is to become a leader in the field of nutrition informatics. Specifically, I will lead interdisciplinary teams to investigate multi-sector real-world interventions to improve food and nutrition security, dietary behaviors, and ultimately health outcomes. I plan to accomplish this goal by applying rigorous mixed-methods nutrition informatics approaches to design, implement, evaluate, and promote effective patient-centered solutions for equitable access to healthy food resources. My research currently draws on my unique background in nutrition science, public health, and biomedical informatics. I received funding from HEAL-R to conduct a 1 year pilot study on the status of food security intervention in cancer care. I'm interested in expanding this work through external funding and community collaboration.
