I am interested in how radiation is utilized as part of an overall cancer treatment regimen, especially in the context of hematologic cancer (including bone marrow transplantation), sarcomas (pre/post op radiation therapy, and skin cancers including melanomas. I have previous experience in development of novel radiation sensitizers/protectors in a laboratory setting. Also, I am interested in optimization of total body irradiation techniques for bone marrow transplantation. Recently, I have started working on a couple of clinical protocols that incorporates total marrow irradiation as part of the preparatory regimen for both auto and allogeneic transplants. In addition, I have just started a new collaborative project looking at partial tumor irradiation and its effectiveness.
