Each Komen Tissue Bank collection event is a big operation requiring dozens of volunteers for vital roles. No qualifications are required — all you need is a great attitude and an ability and desire to follow specific directions.
If you have medical or lab experience, we have jobs for you, too!
KTB needs your hands and heart
You’ll find descriptions for each role linked below — take a look and see where you might fit. If you’re unable to participate during a collection event, there is also an option to come in from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on the Friday afternoon before an event to help us set up.

Other volunteer opportunities
We occasionally have a need for help from our volunteers at times other than during tissue collection events. This may include stuffing envelopes, assisting with a project being run by our staff, or working on projects that may require some comfort with computers and Excel spreadsheets.
For these tasks, volunteers are notified of the need by email and sometimes are able to complete them at home in their own time. If you are interested, just contact the KTB team at komentb@iu.edu or 866-763-0047.
I know how important this is because my mother has had breast cancer twice. The more that is learned about this disease, the faster there will be a cure. It will be a great day when no other family member has to endure what my family and millions of others have because of this disease.
