End Lung Cancer Now: Advocacy for Awareness, Research and Prevention
Nasser Hanna, MD, director of the IU Simon Comprehensive Cancer Center’s lung cancer research program, has a conversation with lung cancer advocate Elyse Turula. Turula lost her beloved husband Harry to lung cancer in 2017 and is now an integral part of IU’s End Lung Cancer Now initiative.
Hanna and Turula discuss strategies for preventing lung cancer as well as increasing screenings to find the disease in its earliest stages. They address the critical need for participation in lung cancer clinical trials and share how those impacted by lung cancer can join Turula in becoming an advocate for lung cancer awareness, research, and prevention.
