Indiana University Melvin and Bren Simon Comprehensive Cancer Center researchers will share their findings and expertise at the 2022 San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium, the most influential gathering of breast cancer researchers and physicians in the world.
The symposium, taking place Dec. 6-10 in San Antonio, brings together researchers and physicians from more than 90 countries.
Research from the IU Simon Comprehensive Cancer Center is part of one general session and several poster sessions.
Cancer center highlights include:
- Kathy Miller, M.D., also with the Vera Bradley Foundation Center for Breast Cancer Research at the IU Simon Comprehensive Cancer Center, is among the authors of Palbociclib After CDK4/6i and Endocrine Therapy (PACE): A Randomized Phase II Study of Fulvestrant, Palbociclib, and Avelumab for Endocrine Pre-treated ER+/HER2- Metastatic Breast Cancer, which is part of a general session.
- Tarah Ballinger, M.D., also with the Vera Bradley Foundation Center for Breast Cancer Research at the IU Simon Comprehensive Cancer Center, is chairing the spotlight poster discussion session, Obesity and Breast Cancer.
- Richard Zellars, M.D., also with the Vera Bradley Foundation Center for Breast Cancer Research at the IU Simon Comprehensive Cancer Center, is chairing the spotlight poster discussion session, New Radiation Techniques. During the session, Ryan Rhome, M.D., Ph.D., will present “PBI - Post, Pre and Primary.”
