Five undergraduate students received a student travel award from the cancer center to attend the 2023 Annual Biomedical Research Conference for Minoritized Scientists (ABRCMS) annual meeting Nov. 15-18 in Phoenix.
Each student conducted research with a cancer center member and was accepted to present a poster, oral, or ePoster presentation at ABRCMS 2023.
The travel awardees are:
- Michael Castellanos (mentor: Ann Kimble-Hill, PhD)
- Jiapei Chen (mentor: Uma Sankar, PhD)
- Aaron Kile (mentor: Kimble-Hill)
- Jane Kimani (mentor: Heather O’Hagan, PhD)
- Evelyn Redmond (mentor: Patricia Silveyra, PhD)
Chen also received a presentation award for her poster presentation.
