Dr. Zhang's research interests include:
My research interest is nutritional and molecular epidemiology of common cancers. Specifically, my study is focused on investigating the role of diet, polymorphisms in genes involved in metabolism of nutrients, hormones, and carcinogens, and gene-nutrient interactions in the etiology of leading cancers worldwide (primarily, prostate and pancreatic cancers). I am also interested in the identification of genetic and epigenetic biomarkers for the prognosis and recurrence of cancer and the methodologic aspect of nutritional epidemiology.
