IU Simon Comprehensive Cancer Center Cancer Research Day

Cancer Research Day, the cancer centers signature research event, on Thursday, May 7, at the IU Indianapolis Campus Center.

Registration, which is free and highly recommended, is now open.

Students, fellows, and faculty conducting cancer research at IU Indianapolis, Indiana University-Bloomington, Purdue University, and the Harper Cancer Research Institute, a collaboration between IU School of Medicine and the University of Notre Dame, are eligible to present at Cancer Research Day.

This year’s keynote speaker is Laura Delong Wood, MD, PhD, of the Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center. She will present "Genomic and Spatial Analyses of Human Pancreatic Precancer.

The program will also include presentations by IU's Michael Feldman, MD, PhD, and Anita Turk, MD, as well as a lightning talk session that will include several faculty presentations.

And new this year, “Patient Perspectives: Bridging Research and Lived Experience” will provide attendees with a first-person account from patients.

Cancer Research Day aims to increase understanding and awareness of IU Simon Comprehensive Cancer Center research endeavors and encourage collaboration with other cancer research institutions in Indiana.
