Clinical Track Membership

• Access to the biostatistics, data management, and clinical research office shared facilities at a reduced rate (initial consultation fee waived)
• Access to therapeutic validation shared facility
• Access to ITRAC services
• Potential for enhanced interaction and collaboration via membership in one of the cancer center's highly translational, inter-campus programs
• Access to the cancer center's searchable database, an electronic tool to allow researchers to enter and edit information and conduct hierarchical searches for potential collaborators
• Access to ongoing clinical trials available at the cancer center
• Access to the cancer center communications, including distribution lists for seminar announcements, Grand Rounds, RFAs, grant announcements, e-newsletter, and special events

Membership requires a review of the application by the executive committee and final approval by the director. These members will receive announcements on center-wide activities, such as educational seminars and other relevant activities.

In select cases, clinical track members may be aligned to specific programs and be invited to center/programmatic retreats. Clinical track members are not eligible to apply for pilot funding or shared resource subsidies, unless otherwise specified by RFAs.

Clinical track members are expected to make meaningful contributions to the research, education, patient care, and community outreach activities of the cancer center as demonstrated by:

• Submission as PI or co-PI on a cancer-relevant grant
• Presentation of data at internal or external scientific meetings
• Publication as contributing author on peer-reviewed articles/book chapters
• Collaborative efforts via grants, publications, or active membership in a cancer center working group.
• Regularly attend cancer seminars and Grand Rounds
• Actively participate in clinical trial development and/or patient accrual
• Serve on various cancer center committees, participate in summer research programs, mentorship, and other cancer center activities when called upon; failure to participate will result in the member being ineligible for pilot funding through the cancer center for up to two years
• Recognize the support of the cancer center on publications, when appropriate
• Actively participate in appropriate national cooperative group activities (e.g. ECOG, RTOG, COG, ACOS) and statewide through Hoosier Cancer
• Research Network and the Big Ten Cancer Research Consortium.
• Participate in quality initiatives
• Contribute to multidisciplinary clinical program development, including clinical outcomes and research (screening, prevention, and therapeutics)
