Nominations open for National Foundation for Cancer Research award

Nominations are now open for the Annual Szent-Györgyi Prize for Progress in Cancer Research, sponsored by the National Foundation for Cancer Research

The Szent-Györgyi Prize is awarded annually to scientists whose seminal discovery or pioneering body of work has contributed to cancer prevention, diagnosis, or treatment and has had a lasting impact on understanding cancer, holding the promise of improving or saving lives of cancer patients.

The 2024 call for nominations is open through Feb. 29. Nominations are made through the Szent-Györgyi Prize online portal.

Cancer Research Day is May 2

Save the date: Cancer Research Day, the cancer center’s signature research event, will be held Thursday, May 2, 2024. More details will be shared in the coming weeks.

Theodore F. Logan, MD, was among the researchers to receive the 2023 Paper of the Year distinction from the Journal of Clinical Oncology. The DREAMseq trial results had the greatest impact and reach among all the journal's papers in 2023. Read more.
