(1) Develop computational methodologies to apply pharmacogenetics and epigenetics approaches to understand genetic, epigenetic, and metabolic pathways in breast cancer and the other cancer types. (2) Extend the established pathways information into clinical setting, design personalized medicine based clinical trial, develop biomarker based or pathway based therapy selection strategy, and identify sub disease populations that show either high or low response rate to one or multiple cancer treatments. (3) Develop bioinformatics tools to predict drug interactions using large scale genomics databases, medical records, and published literatures.
