I am a biotechnology scientific executive with extensive experience as a medicinal chemist and product team leader. Over the course of my career, I have successfully delivered clinical candidates across multiple therapeutic indications within aggressive timelines. My expertise includes managing CDMO relationships and coordinating both internal and external resources to deliver comprehensive CMC and toxicology packages for efficient regulatory filing. I have managed pharmaceutical R&D programs that delivered clinical candidates in neurodegenerative disease, oncology, and chronic kidney diseases. Additionally, I have directed external CROs to deliver complete CMC and GLP toxicology packages, enabling regulatory filing, and overseen operations and drug discovery programs across multiple international locations and teams. In scientific and alliance management roles, I have delivered up to $60 million in annual revenue and driven operational efficiencies to increase profit margins. My experience includes automated parallel synthesis, AI/machine learning design tools, hit-to-lead and lead optimization programs, and GMP manufacture of drug substance and drug product for clinical trials. I have served as a member of the Biomedical Oversight Committee for the city of Woburn, Mass., since 2007.
My career began in 1995 as vice president at ArQule, followed by roles as vice president at BioDuro, Inc. in 2005, vice president of chemistry at Anthill Technologies, Inc. in 2007, and president at Jasco Pharmaceuticals, LLC in 2009. From 2016 to 2019, I was vice president of life sciences R&D at The Warner Babcock Institute for Green Chemistry. Most recently, I have been senior director of chemistry at Walden Biosciences, Inc., where I have been focused on developing novel therapies for treating renal diseases since 2019. In 2022, I took on the role of vice president of chemistry at Walden Biosciences.
