Dr. Pasupuleti's research interests include:
Cancer research goals: 1. Conal hematopoiesis: Study the role of obesity-induced inflammation to promote pre-leukemic clonal hematopoiesis of indeterminate potential (CHIP)-associated mutations (i.e; Tet2, Dnmt3a, Asxl1, and Jak2) in the development of acute myeloid leukemia (AML) and cardiovascular disease (CVD). 2. Juvenile myelomonocytic leukemia (JMML): Role of M2-tumor associated macrophages (TAMs) in Juvenile myelomonocytic leukemia development and relapse. 3. Juvenile myelomonocytic leukemia (JMML): Role of MEK inhibitor and hypomethylating agent, 5-azacitidine to rescue Shp2-driven JMML development. 4. Conal hematopoiesis: Role of diabetes to promote pre-leukemic mutations in early-onset leukemia development.
