Dr. Shahbazi's research interests include:
My lab is interested in developing novel CRISPR nanotherapeutics for ex vivo and in vivo gene editing applications. Currently, we are focused on generating CAR T cells and engineered TCRs using CRISPR and non-viral delivery methods. Another aspect of my research is to look at the noncoding RNA profiles in the triple negative breast cancer setting and develop RNA based or CRISPR based therapeutics targeting these tumor specific molecules.
