Dr. Doud's research interests include:
As the associate director of the IUSM Center for Proteomics Research (IUSCC Proteomics Core), I am deeply involved with numerous cancer focused projects from a service perspective. I have applied for independent funding with cancer center Co-PIs Teresa Zimmers and Elizabeth Yeh in the past year, and I anticipate increased success in this arena as I hone my grant writing skills. With Teresa Zimmers, I am focusing on deep proteomics and PTM abundance changes in PDX Cancer cachexia models. With Elizabeth Yeh, I am focusing on fucosylated protein biomarker discovery in metastatic breast cancer. In the future, I plan on leveraging the state of the art mass spectrometry based technology available to me in the Center for Proteome Research to answer questions about cancer mechanism and treatments.
