Dr. Delgado-Calle's research interests include:

My long-term career’s goal is to study the biology and pathophysiology of cancer induced bone disease with a clinical-related orientation. My current research focuses on the improvement of therapeutic approaches to simultaneously decrease tumor growth and ameliorate the bone fragility and muscle weakness associated with multiple myeloma. In particular, I am interested in the effects of Notch signaling inhibition on tumor growth and on multiple myeloma (MM) and glucocorticoid (GC)-induced bone and muscle disease. My research combines in vitro and ex vivo approaches with the use of preclinical mouse models of multiple myeloma disease.
