Dr. Cary's research interests include:

Dr. Cary’s research interests predominantly focus on the surgical management of advanced testicular cancer and subsequent outcomes. He leads the urologic oncology research effort within the Department of Urology. Additionally, he is funded by the National Cancer Institute division of the National Institutes of Health through a K23 grant to study patterns of care in non-muscle invasive bladder cancer. He is the co-director of the Community Outreach division within the Indiana University Simon Cancer Center, which coordinates all cancer research and community engagement efforts throughout the state of Indiana. Dr. Cary is involved in the Society of Urology Oncology, American Urological Association, and the North Central Section of the American Urological Association. He has published numerous peer-reviewed journal articles on prostate, bladder, kidney, and testicular cancer. He has authors text-book chapters on the surgical management of testicular and bladder cancer. He has demonstrated RPLND techniques in surgery within Europe and served as an invited lecturer and visiting professor internationally on the topic of advanced testicular cancer.
