IU vs. Cancer

IU is a national leader in cancer research

The IU Simon Comprehensive Cancer Center is the central hub of all cancer research and education across Indiana University. We have a deep bench of researchers studying all forms of cancer. Our more than 300 researchers are never daunted in their work to beat cancer.

Our team has earned the gold standard for cancer research. We’re Indiana’s ONLY National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center – and one of only 57 in the nation. This prestigious designation recognizes our excellence in cancer research, our educational activities, and our effective community outreach across the state. We’re also Indiana’s only member of the National Comprehensive Cancer Network, placing us at the forefront of developing the nationally recognized standard of care for all cancers.

Together, we are one team: IU vs. Cancer. And you can join us.

IU basketball and IU cancer research share the same playbook: teamwork, determination, and Hoosier pride. Look for our IU vs Cancer ads inside iconic Assembly Hall during every men's and women's home games this season and on national broadcasts, including the Big Ten Network, CBS Sports, Fox Sports 1, ESPN, and others, as we rally Hoosiers everywhere to help defeat cancer.

For a limited time, the IU Foundation and Madison Schwarz are contributing $100 for every gift of $100 or more made to IU cancer research – up to $20,000! Join the IU vs. Cancer campaign today!
