New Year, New Tobacco-Free You
A fresh year brings New Year’s resolutions, many of which involve improving health: working out more, eating healthier, losing weight and, of course, quitting smoking. There probably isn’t a better way to improve your health than quitting tobacco, but that can be much easier said than done.
In this Simon Says session, Debi Buckles, the cancer center’s tobacco treatment specialist, and Natalie Rivich, director of health systems change and cessation services at the Indiana Department of Health, discuss the immediate and long-term benefits of quitting smoking and other tobacco products (such as vaping, tobacco pouches and smokeless tobacco), treatment options as well as how to stay tobacco-free.
