Clinical Trials 101

Clinical Trials 101

Clinical trials are research studies in which people with either a high risk for cancer or diagnosis of cancer help physicians find ways to improve health and cancer care. How do you know if you or a loved one is eligible for a clinical trial? Do you have to pay to be in a trial? If you participate in a trial, will you be told the trial’s results?

Learn the answers to these questions and more during this Simon Says session with Kathy Miller, MD, the IU Simon Comprehensive Cancer Center Associate Director of Clinical Research and one of the country’s leading breast clinical trial specialists. Patrick Loehrer, MD, director of the cancer center’s Center for Global Oncology and Health Equity and co-founder of the Hoosier Cancer Research Network, moderates.
