World Lung Cancer Day

World Lung Cancer Day

Thursday, Aug. 1, 2024 | 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.

IU Simon Comprehensive Cancer Center - Cancer Pavilion
535 Barnhill Drive, Indianapolis, IN 46202

Join End Lung Cancer Now on Thursday, Aug. 1 to honor World Lung Cancer Day. This global observance is recognized as a day to raise awareness, reduce stigma, and highlight the importance of research and early detection.

Throughout the day, a resource fair will be open, allowing attendees to connect and learn about supportive resources available. Attendees can also engage in activities such as signing and decorating white ribbons, assembling patient care kits and signing greeting cards to accompany them.

Additionally, there will be an opportunity to immerse yourself in art created by cancer survivors and contribute to a special art piece being created specifically for World Lung Cancer Day.

Complimentary sweet treats, coffee, and refreshments will be available throughout the day.

We look forward to celebrating World Lung Cancer Day with you!

The event will begin at 9 a.m. and finish at 3 p.m. Attire is casual.

If you’d like to attend, make sure to add it to your calendar!
