I aim to establish whether a unique lipid (phosphoethanolamine dihydroceramide (PEDHC) and phosphoglycerol dihydroceramide (PG DHC)) produced by the oral bacteria (Porphyromonas gingivalis) inhibits the survival of various head and neck cancer cell lines. in addition to these unique lipids, I attempt to find the other phospholipids which is produced by gut bacteria if these candidates also inhibits not only head and neck cancer cells but also other cancer cells.
