I am a gynecologic oncology clinician and researcher with a passion for providing comprehensive and compassionate care to women with gynecologic malignancies. I am board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Gynecologic Oncology and am currently a clinical assistant professor at Indiana University School of Medicine. My research endeavors began in my gynecologic fellowship where I participate in a broad range of clinical and translational research. As a school of medicine faculty member, I initially focused on clinical trial access and enrollment and cervical cancer prevention. This led to my current position as the site principal investigator for cervical cancer and vulvar cancer clinical trials. I am committed to bridging the gap between clinical practice and research to provide high quality care to patients with gynecologic malignancies. Additionally, I currently participate in two multidisciplinary research groups: the Malnutrition in Gynecologic Cancer Working Group and the Ovarian Cancer Working Group. My current research efforts examine the prevalence of malnutrition among patients with gynecologic malignancies and its effect on oncologic outcomes. The overarching goal of this research is to develop an effective and replicable model for patient advocacy and intervention that will improve outcomes and long-term survivorship for gynecologic cancer patients. By engaging in collaborative research, my goal is to contribute to the development of new therapies and interventions to improve clinical and oncologic outcomes for patients with gynecologic cancer.
