My research focuses on developing quantitative models and methods to investigate potential strategies to further reduce lung cancer incidence and mortality in the United States. Some example projects include 1) understanding individual and population outcomes with the recent improvements in lung cancer treatment, 2) assessing different lung cancer control strategies to address existing disparities in the minority and hard-to-reach population, and 3) developing a microsimulation model for cancer progression, recurrence, and survival to identify effective surveillance strategies for cancer patients.
