Dr. Lu's research interests include:
My research centers on the multi-functional transcription factor nuclear factor kB (NFkB). Since many cancers are characterized by constitutive activation of NFkB, my recent work has focused on investigating the causes of constitutive activation of NFkB in cancer and to develop and use novel forward genetic screening methods to identify regulators of NFkB. I expect this research to lead to new strategies for the prevention and treatment of cancer.
