Biological Microscopy

The Indiana Center for Biological Microscopy aims to enhance the quality of research from Indiana University investigators by:

  • Providing hands-on access to and training for state-of-the-art confocal, multiphoton and deconvolution microsope systems
  • Providing imaging expertise that guarantees effective exploitation of the imaging technologies of the center
  • Adapting center instruments to maximize their productive utilization by investigators regardless of their microscopy or computer expertise
  • Enhancing the productive utilization of the center’s instruments and software by offering seminars, courses and individual training

Experimental assistance is offered for short-term arrangements. Optical methodologies for investigators in nephrologic and urologic research are available at the O’Brien Center, where specific approaches include intravital multiphoton microscopy, three-dimensional imaging and quantitative microscopic analyses.
