Robertson named prevention and screening program lead

Mary RobertsonMary Robertson has been named the prevention and screening program lead with the cancer center’s Office of Community Outreach and Engagement.

In this role, she is responsible for strategic planning and implementation of working with community partners to implement evidence-based cancer prevention and screening programs throughout Indiana. She will develop programs aimed at reaching racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic groups most in need with accurate cancer information. 

Robertson was most recently the executive director of the Indiana Cancer Consortium.

She holds a bachelor’s and a master’s in public health, health policy and management concentration from Purdue and IUPUI, respectively.

Recently named an IU Distinguished Professor, Thomas Imperiale, MD, will present during the 2022 Distinguished Professors Symposium. He is one of five presenters scheduled to speak at 3 p.m. Tuesday, April 19. Short presentations will be shared on outstanding scholarship, artistic or literary distinction, or other achievements that have won significant recognition by peers.
