My research and clinical interests focus on psychosocial clinical care in pediatric oncology and adolescent young adult oncology with a focus on quality of life, patient experience with having a chronic illness, shared decision making models, health disparities, treatment adherence, self-management, transition to adult health care, and psychological and health outcomes across the illness trajectory. My research investigates innovative strategies to minimize psychological distress of cancer patients across the illness trajectory, and investigating innovative psychological interventions for improving health and psychological outcomes, including efficacious delivery of mHealth and telehealth psychological interventions that can reach diverse patient populations. I am passionate about identifying predictors of optimal versus poor health outcomes, investigating disparities in psychosocial outcomes and health outcomes, and developing innovative interventions to improve and enhance clinical care and outcomes of pediatric and adult patients diagnosed with cancer and cancer survivors.
