  1. Study the roles of hypoxia-inducible ncRNAs in oxygen sensing and metabolic feedbacks using integrative approaches, including conditional KO animal models and CRISPR-Cas9-based editing of the corresponding human loci. The focus is on miR210hg, miR193bhg, the corresponding small and long RNAs and their genomic neighborhoods.
  2. Therapeutic targeting of solid tumor metabolism using combinatorial interventions. We aim to better understand and exploit specific metabolic vulnerabilities generated by the oxygen and nutrient deprivation, well recognized hallmarks of tumor microenvironment.
