The IU Simon Cancer Center will issue a call for targeted research pilot projects based on scientific need and availability of funding. Examples of previously issued, targeted pilot funding announcements are:
- Pancreatic Cancer
- Breast Cancer
- Lung Cancer
- Development of Small-Molecule Therapeutics
- Use of Next-Generation Sequencing Technology
- IU and Purdue cancer center collaborative pilots
Funding will be allocated from the IUSCC using the ITRAC project management process and will be allocated based on need. Each targeted call for pilot proposals will have specific guidelines on investigator eligibility and focus of the research project. As with other IUSCC pilot funding mechanisms, projects with interprogrammatic collaborative teams are strongly encouraged.
Anticipated frequency of funding announcements: As needed and funds available
