CompleteLife Group Support

First Mondays is a unique program designed to create a community of healing support, education and enjoyment for participants. It is held the first Monday evening of each month in the Indiana Cancer Pavilion.

In the first floor atrium of the pavilion, First Mondays begins with a light meal. CompleteLife staff members strive to create a comfortable environment where patients, family members and group leaders relax, socialize and build connections.

For the remainder of the evening, participants meet with their individual groups. Group topics and themes may vary and have included the following:

  • Beginning Steps -- Living with Cancer
  • Caregivers Support Group
  • Coping Support for Multiple Myeloma Patients and Caregivers
  • Art Expression for Children of Parents with Cancer
  • Nutrition During Cancer Treatment
  • Empowered Living for Those with Metastatic/Recurrent Cancer

First Mondays is a community-wide program open to those diagnosed with cancer and their families, not only those patients being treated at the Indiana University Melvin and Bren Simon Cancer Center. First Mondays is offered without charge to participants; however, prior registration is required.
