Dealing with side effects
Side effects may result when normal cells are damaged during treatment. As a result you may experience hair loss, skin irritation, digestion problems, or mouth sores. You may also be tired, more likely to get an infection, or in pain.
Family, friends, your treatment team and support groups may help you cope with these side effects that occur throughout your treatment. Also, certain side effects can be prevented or treated. And, there are strategies to cope with these side effects.
