Functional Disability Secondary to a Specific Surgical Procedure
All osteosarcoma patients require lifelong regular follow-up with an orthopedic surgeon to monitor for complications and to maintain optimal function. In addition, those with bone grafts or hardware, need antibiotic prophylaxis prior to surgical and/or dental procedures to prevent infection.
