Walther Cancer Institute's Annual Dinner Will Feature Osteosarcoma Survivor and Comedian Scott Burton on Nov. 4
September 22, 2004: The Walther Cancer Institute's Annual Dinner will celebrate the inspiration of cancer survivors from 5 to 8:30 pm on November 4 at the Riverwalk Banquet Center & Lodge in Indianapolis. Part of the celebration includes featured guest speaker Scott Burton. As an award-winning comedian, national champion juggler, osteosarcoma survivor and author of the book, A Life in the Balance, Burton's talk is inspiring and energetic. Human Protein May Be Key to Predicting Survival and Improving Therapies in Osteosarcoma
August 18, 2004: Mark Kelley, PhD, member of the IU Simon Cancer Center Osteosarcoma Clinical Care and Research Program, has discovered with other scientists a protein that may help predict survival rates and lead to better treatments such as gene therapy for osteosarcoma.
