Little Red Door honors Dr. Goulet Oct. 17

INDIANAPOLIS – Sept. 14, 2007 -- Little Red Door Cancer Agency will present Robert J. Goulet Jr., M.D., with the Lawrence H. Einhorn M.D. Award for his exceptional impact in the lives of breast cancer patients in central Indiana.

The award will be presented at Little Red Door’s Revel with a Cause charity concert event Oct.17.

Dr. Goulet has had a distinguished career as a medical professional and public servant. He is a professor of surgery and the director of breast surgical oncology in the Department of Surgery at the IU School of Medicine and the medical director of the Breast Care and Research Center at the Indiana University Melvin and Bren Simon Cancer Center. Dr. Goulet is a member of multiple professional societies and has served on advisory boards, including the board of directors of Little Red Door Cancer Agency.

The award is given each year to a person in the central Indiana community who has contributed exceptionally in the fight against cancer. Past recipients are Bob Grand, Bruce Hetrick, and Marjorie Williams.

Revel with a Cause will hit the stage of the Scottish Rite Cathedral and will feature live 60s and 70s performances by Gary Puckett, The Diamonds, and The Association.
