Our Goals

The Indiana University Melvin and Bren Simon Cancer Center is moving forward with a bold strategy to expand cancer research and to advance our position as a major regional referral center for cancer care. We seek your philanthropic support for the following:

Expanded patient care facility - Opening Summer 2008

Today more people are living with cancer than ever before. To meet their needs, construction is now underway to expand our patient care facility. The project will add state-of-the-art surgical suites and inpatient rooms and provide five times more clinical space, including additional infusion stations. Your gift to support construction will allow more patients to partner with IU Simon Cancer Center physicians for their care.

Attracting and retaining world-renowned cancer researchers

Simply put, research cures cancer. Each IU Simon Cancer Center scientist seeks to improve the lives of patients through research—both in the laboratory and at the bedside. To keep pace with ongoing advancements in technology and knowledge, the IU Simon Cancer Center is recruiting scientists and building new laboratories that will double the space dedicated to cancer research. Philanthropic gifts will accelerate discoveries that benefit patients.
