Training2005 Summer Research Program Highlights
The 2005 Indiana University Cancer Center Summer Research Program ended their program on August 5th by presenting their research projects at a poster session attended by faculty, students and family.
Twelve students participated in the program, representing five different Indianapolis high schools and five different universities around the country, from as nearby as Purdue University and as far away as Yale University. Participating students were matched with an appropriate mentor in one of the five IU Cancer Center research programs. Research projects represented a mix of basic, behavioral and clinical topics, ranging from exploring “The Effects of Estrogen and Resvertrol on the Regulation of E2F1 Gene Expression in Human Breast Cancer Cells” to comparing “Parent Perspectives on Music Video Intervention for Adolescents/Young Adults Receiving Stem Cell Transplant.”
